How SahteAvcı works

The whole process — from installation to complaint — lives in a single browser extension. Here is how it works, step by step.

1. Install

Add SahteAvcı to your browser from the Chrome Web Store. Installation takes about a minute; no separate program or technical knowledge is required.

2. Enter your brand, start scanning

Enter the brand you want to protect. SahteAvcı automatically scans listings on marketplaces such as Trendyol, Hepsiburada, n11, Amazon.com.tr, Dolap and Çiçeksepeti. Smart search also tries to catch Turkish counterfeit slang (replika, çakma, A kalite) and name variations.

3. Detect suspicious listings

During the scan, signals such as price anomalies (listings far below the official price) and visual similarity (pHash) are evaluated. These signals indicate that a product may carry risk — they are not a verdict, and the final decision is yours. Core scanning runs 100% in your browser; AI analysis only kicks in with your own choice and your own API key (BYOK).

4. Collect evidence

For listings you find suspicious, the link, image and content are recorded with SHA-256 cryptographic verification and a timestamp — so you get an organised evidence package you can use later.

5. Create a complaint and take action

With the evidence you collect, you can generate ready-made complaint drafts matching each marketplace's process. If the situation calls for a more serious legal process (cease-and-desist, litigation, customs seizure), we refer you to expert law firms in Turkey.
